About Jo

I have been a therapist for over 35 years, taught for 20 years and love what I do.

During my career, I have owned and run a large health studio with over 20 staff – very stressful.

Run holistic therapy training department at an FE college and University – very enjoyable and quite stressful.

However my true passion is working with busy clients who are pulled in all directions and need the space of Serenity to learn and receive effective self-care.  I love providing a place to pause and relax, as well as learn amazing ways to live and feel better.

I am always learning and upgrading my skills and knowledge to give my clients the best treatments and advice to help fix their problems. Looking at issues from every angle both inside and out makes the best improvements, treating the cause not the compensation for the problem! And I am a passionate teacher.

I hate fads and the “one size fits all” approach and would rather muscle test to make the right plan of action instead of using guesswork.

I use gentle and deep massage, structural and emotional techniques as well as nutritional changes of either taking things out or putting the right nutrients in to make you feel better and cope well with the challenges of life.

Life is to be enjoyed so I will not be recommending drastic changes but will work with you by listening to your body and helping you to understand what it is telling you to do.

I like to give an honest opinion that is based on good science and if I am not sure about a detail I will love researching until I have the right answers for you or will suggest what to do or who to go to for your best outcome.

I am a fully qualified, fully insured therapist and member of FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists), IPTI (Independent Professional Therapists International) and ASK (The Association of Systematic Kinesiology)

The calmness of my Serenity room in Arborfield, Berkshire, England is a real sanctuary away from everyday stresses and strains.
